NEWS ROUNDUP

ACQUISITION: FTS facilitates sale of two-property MOB portfolio in North Carolina. The two-property, 68,000 SF medical outpatient building portfolio in Morehead City and Cedar Point, NC. is 89% leased to regional health systems and physician groups, and was sold on behalf of National Healthcare Properties. FTS Managing Directors Matthew Tarpley, Jake Gorin, Michael Fioravanti, and Ravi Patel led the transactions, marking their latest collaboration with NHP.

ACQUISITION: A joint venture between Angelo Gordon and Cypress West acquires La Cholla Medical Plaza for $13.5M. The 67,731 SF Class A medical office building in Tucson, AZ, is located at 6130 N La Cholla Blvd on the Northwest Medical Campus. The two-story property is 80% leased to tenants including Northwest Hospital Pain Management, Pima Heart & Vascular, and Eye Associates of Tucson. Cypress West previously purchased the asset in 2021 for $12.8 million.

DEVELOPMENT: Bremner Healthcare Real Estate opens OU Health Stephenson Cancer Center in Norman, OK. Developed in partnership with OU Health and Norman Regional Health System, the 48,000 SF state-of-the-art facility offers medical and radiation oncology services, including two linear accelerator vaults, PET/CT, 24 infusion bays, and an enclosed walkway to the main hospital. Kevin Knue represented Bremner. This is Bremner’s fourth major project with Norman Regional and its first with OU Health.

LEASE SIGNING: HonorHealth joins ViaWest’s $24M Chandler medical office conversion. ViaWest Group announced that HonorHealth has signed a 50,000 SF lease at Chandler Integrated Care Campus, a $24M medical office conversion at 2700 W. Frye Rd. in Chandler, AZ. HonorHealth will open an Arizona Center for Cancer Care, primary care, pain management, and breast surgery services. The Class A campus, also home to CVS Health (67,000 SF), offers 70,000 SF of additional space for medical tenants. SVP Alex Hondros represented ViaWest. JLL’s Mari Lederman and Katie McIntyre are handling leasing.

DEVELOPMENT: Kraus-Anderson completes $24M Windom Area Health in Windom, MN. The 52,000 SF medical building for Windom Area Health is located at 2150 Hospital Drive in Windom, MN. Designed by Pope Architects, the project connects to the existing hospital and houses Sanford Health Clinic, Windom Specialty Clinics, and shell space for future growth. Specialty services include OB/GYN, orthopedics, general surgery, pain management, and mental health. Construction began in October 2023.
