NEWS ROUNDUP

ACQUISITION: Big Sky Medical acquires RidgeWood Medical Center I & II, a two-building, 29,022 SF medical outpatient campus in San Antonio, Texas, through Big Sky Fund III. The 92%-leased campus is anchored by WellMed, a subsidiary of UnitedHealth Group, and Family Care Center. Located near Methodist Hospital–Stone Oak, the acquisition represents the third and fourth properties added to Big Sky Fund III. Chris Morgan and Michael Link led the acquisition for Big Sky Medical. Nabil Arabi and Harrison Horowitz will oversee leasing for the remaining available space.

DEVELOPMENT: Broward Health reaches a construction milestone on its new MOB and parking garage at Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The eight-story, 188,000 SF medical office building will include 129 exam rooms, with capacity to expand to 237, and will offer cardiovascular, pulmonology, primary care, gastroenterology, neuroscience, and women's services. A seven-story, 300,000 SF parking garage with nearly 700 spaces is also under development. Both projects are scheduled for completion in 2027. Shane Strum and Manny Linares are leading the expansion. The Beck Group, DMZ Architects, Remedy Medical Properties, and DPR Construction are project partners on the development.

DEVELOPMENT: MUSC Health celebrates a construction milestone for its new Indian Land Medical Center and Medical Pavilion in Indian Land, South Carolina. The project includes a three-story, 62,000 SF MOB and a 51-bed hospital. The campus will offer heart and vascular care, neurology, rheumatology, transplant services, urology, orthopedic and sports medicine, primary care, women's health, oncology, emergency care, imaging, laboratory services, and a retail pharmacy. The medical office building is expected to open in spring 2027, followed by the hospital in 2028. David J. Cole and J. Scott Broome are leading the expansion for MUSC Health.
