NEWS ROUNDUP

ACQUISITION: Cushman & Wakefield brokers the sale of MedStar Montgomery Medical Center I and II in Olney, Maryland. Located at 18109 and 18111 Prince Philip Drive, the 127,868 SF, two-building on-campus portfolio was approximately 95% leased at the time of sale and primarily occupied by MedStar Health-affiliated services. Gino Lollio, Travis Ives, and Tyler Morss of Cushman & Wakefield’s Healthcare Capital Markets, along with Matt Sullivan, Lindsey Groom, and Paige Summers from the firm’s Healthcare Advisory Practice, represented the seller, MedStar Health, Inc.

DEVELOPMENT: Remedy Medical Properties breaks ground on the Piedmont Commerce MOB in Commerce, Georgia. The 31,481 SF, two-story facility is being developed on a 4.36-acre site with 140 parking spaces and is expected to be completed in early 2027. The building will support a range of outpatient services, including orthopedics, imaging, mammography, and rehab on the first floor, and pediatrics, cardiology, OB/GYN, and primary care on the second floor, along with a mobile MRI pad. Project partners include Piedmont Healthcare, Remedy Medical Properties, LDDBlueline, Eberly & Associates, and Brasfield & Gorrie. Peter Westmeyer is leading the development.

DEVELOPMENT: Broward Health breaks ground on MOB at Broward Health North in Deerfield Beach, Florida. The six-story, 127,033 SF facility is scheduled to open in 2027 and will include 75 exam rooms with the capacity to expand to 123. The building will support cardiovascular, neuroscience, and orthopedic services along with additional specialty clinics and physician practices. Project partners include Broward Health, Remedy Medical Properties, The Beck Group, DMZ Architects, and DPR Construction. Key individuals involved include Shane Strum, Matt Garner, and David Clark.
